Saw palmetto oil extract has been shown to be well tolerated over decades of use. The most common saw palmetto side effects are gastrointestinal issues. It is recommended that Flomentum be taken with food.

Why Our Proprietary Extraction Process Matters

Our unique, high quality saw palmetto oil is extracted through a patented and proprietary ultra high pressure, super critical CO2 (carbon dioxide) extraction process (Deep Extract®) in Florida. CO2 extraction is a green technology whereby CO2 is withdrawn from the environment, used in the process, and then returned to the environment. Everyday natural CO2 (carbon dioxide) usually behaves as a gas in the air or as a solid called dry ice when frozen. If the temperature and pressure is increased, CO2 can achieve a state called supercritical where it has properties of both a gas and a liquid. In the supercritical state and under ultra high pressure, CO2 can be used as a highly effective green “solvent” to extract oil from natural botanicals. Our proprietary technology allows us to achieve finely tuned ultra high pressures that far exceed most other extraction facilities. This matters because the most optimal micronutrients are the hardest to extract. Our patented process yields more of the micronutrients from every berry delivering more of what nature offers. This enables our unique, high quality extract to meet both US Pharmacopeia and European Monograph requirements.
